Duqm Refinery

The Duqm Refinery is one of the strategic projects contributing to the strengthening of the manufacturing and energy sectors in the Sultanate of Oman. Located in the Wilayat of Duqm in Al Wusta Governorate, within the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, the refinery is a key pillar in diversifying the economy and maximising the added value of natural resources. It processes crude oil and produces a range of petroleum products in accordance with advanced operational and technical standards, thereby helping to meet the needs of local and regional markets.  The project helps to enhance the region’s appeal for investments linked to the energy and petrochemical sectors, and supports the growth of economic activities associated with industrial and logistical value chains. It forms part of efforts aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the national economy, and consolidating the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a regional hub for energy-related industries.
